Meet the team - Fraser

The second member of our husband and wife team is Fraser, or Fras as he’s known. Fras is currently retraining in various aspect of bookkeeping and accountancy, which is giving him weird back to school vibes but he’s ultimately enjoying it and is three quarters of the way through his first bookkeeping qualification.

Prior to this, Fras owned Froth & Rind in Walthamstow, which was a coffee shop with a bit of a deli twist, selling cheese, wine, crackers and other tasty things. He was there for about 10 years but gave it up to have more family time as it was becoming all consuming.

Fras does have some financial experience though, so much of bookkeeping is not new to him. Before Froth & Rind he worked in digital media in several roles, many of which included managing budgets, cash flow, VAT and all the fun stuff bookkeepers deal with on a daily basis, so he has a good grounding. He also has some technical skills, so he built our website and in his spare time is working on our search engine optimisation.

Fras loves a bit of VAT work (although he hated paying it) and especially loves all the weird quirks around UK VAT law, think jaffa cakes. In has spare time he loves a nice coffee, a good dog walk and is obsessed with trying to perfect a smoked brisket.
